The Combined Rail-Road Transport chain
- DAY A
- Warehouse departure
- Goods are loaded into a swap body (UTI).
- They are then transported by road to the combined transport terminal.
- The terminal operator ensures the link between road and rail by placing the swap body onto the train.
- The goods are then transported overnight by rail to the arrival terminal. T3M is responsible for coordinating rail transport from terminal to terminal.
- The terminal operator unloads the goods from the train and loads them onto a truck.
- They then travel the final miles by road to the delivery warehouse.
(Transport provided by TAB Rail Road – rail coordination by T3M) - DAY B
